ILS Lifeguard Course

The Qatar Swimming Association in cooperation with the Qatar Red Crescent Society, is organizing a specialized training course in the field of swimming pool rescue as part of its membership in the International Life Saving Federation (ILS). The course aims to qualify participants and provide them with basic skills in water safety and rescue, and successful participants will be awarded an international certificate that is recognized in more than 150 countries around the world.

Qualifying entrance tests in the course:

The applicant will take the following practical tests:

·      Swim 50 meters in less than 50 seconds while keeping your head above water.

·      Swim 400 meters in less than 8 minutes without using any equipment.

·      Swim 25 meters underwater and retrieve three (3) objects placed at 5-meter intervals in the deepest part of the pool.

Only those who successfully pass these tests are allowed to enter the course, and those who do not pass the tests have another chance to reapply for the rescue course (explained in the registration procedures paragraph 7).

·      A maximum number of participants will be determined based on their results in the tests.

Enroll in the course:

·      Registration is open to anyone who meets the following requirements:

-       Medical examination.

-       Who pays the full registration fee.

-       Those who achieve the required levels in the tests.

-       His employer's approval to enroll in the course.

Registration and enrollment procedures:

1.     The participant applies for participation through his/her organization (on the attached form, which can be obtained from the Federation).

2.     Participants must present a medical certificate from an official authority stating that they are medically fit to participate in the course

3.     The test taker will pay QAR 200 as an initial fee to take the qualifying tests is valid after one year. If he or she successfully passes these tests, he or she is required to pay an additional amount of QAR 1,800 to complete the enrollment procedures in the course.

Please note that the qualifying test fees are non-refundable if the applicant does not pass the tests.

4.     The participant is assigned a test date.

5.     In case of passing the exams, the successful candidates are registered in order of their ranking, up to 20 students, and the rest of the successful candidates are registered in the next session.

6.     Deadline for receipt of applications is Monday, 15/12/2025

7.     The test was scheduled at the AL-Arabi Club on Wednesday, 17/12/2025, and the opportunity to retake the test on Thursday, 18/12/2025.

8.     The course will start in 21 Dec – 5 Jan 2025

Tests:

9.     Attendance must be at least 80% to enter the final exam.

10.  Daily assessments that collect grades at the end of the course.

11.  The final exam is held in accordance with the International Rescue Federation and Qatar Red Crescent Society rules and regulations at the end of the course and includes

12.  (Theoretical - Oral - Practical).

13.  The course notes will be distributed in both Arabic and English on a USB flash drive or on communication groups (WhatsApp).

Course language:

Arabic and English.

Certificates:

International Rescue Federation (Certificate - Card)

Participants:

·      In the theoretical part both genders are together.

·      The practical part is gender-specific (women's lanes and men's lanes).

·      Observe the instructions for choosing appropriate swimwear.

Required paperwork (without these requirements, the student will not be able to take the qualifying exams)

دورة الإنقاذ في المسابح

ينظم الاتحاد القطري للسباحة، بالتعاون مع جمعية الهلال الأحمر القطري، دورة تدريبية متخصصة في مجال إنقاذ المسابح، وذلك ضمن إطار عضويته في الاتحاد الدولي للإنقاذ (ILS). تهدف هذه الدورة إلى تأهيل المشاركين وتزويدهم بالمهارات الأساسية في السلامة والإنقاذ المائي، ويُمنح الناجحون شهادة دولية معترف بها في أكثر من 150 دولة حول العالم.

اختبارات القبول التأهيلية في الدورة :

يؤدي المتقدم للإشتراك الإختبارات العملية الآتية :

·      السباحة لمسافة 50 مترًا في أقل من 50 ثانية مع إبقاء الرأس فوق الماء.

·      السباحة لمسافة 400 متر في أقل من 8 دقائق دون استخدام أي معدات.

·      السباحة لمسافة 25 مترًا تحت الماء واسترجاع ثلاثة (3) أشياء موضوعة على مسافات 5 أمتار في الجزء الأعمق من المسبح.

يسمح فقط لمن يؤدي تلك الاختبارات بنجاح بدخول الدورة، ولمن لم يجتازوا الاختبارات لهم فرصة اخرى لإعادته للالتحاق بدورة الإنقاذ (موضحه في إجراءات التسجيل الفقرة رقم 7).

·      سوف يحدد حد أقصي لعدد المشاركين في ضوء نتائجهم في الاختبارات.

التسجيل في الدورة:

·      التسجيل مفتوح لجميع من تنطبق عليه الشروط التالية:

-       الفحص الطبي.

-       من يدفع رسوم التسجيل بالكامل.

-       من يحقق المستويات المطلوبة في الإختبارات.

-       موافقة جهة عمله على الالتحاق بالدورة.

إجراءات التسجيل والالتحاق بالدورة: 

1.    يتقدم المشارك عن طريق الهيئة التابع لها بطلب المشاركة (على النموذج المرفق الذي يمكن الحصول عليه من الاتحاد).

2.    لابد أن يقدم راغب الاشتراك شهادة طبية من جهة رسمية تفيد لياقته الصحية للمشاركة في الدورة

3.    يسدد المتقدم للاختبار مبلغًا وقدره (200) مئتا ريال قطري كرسوم أولية لدخول الاختبارات التأهيلية صالحة لسنة كاملة. وفي حال اجتيازه لهذه الاختبارات بنجاح، يُلزم بسداد مبلغ إضافي قدره (1800) ألف وثمانمائة ريال قطري لاستكمال إجراءات التسجيل في الدورة.ويُرجى التنويه إلى أن رسوم الاختبار التأهيلي غير قابلة للاسترداد في حال عدم اجتياز المتقدم للاختبارات.

4.    يحدد للمشارك موعدا الاختبار.

5.    في حالة إجتياز الإختبارات يسجل الناجحون وفق ترتيبهم ليصل عددهم إلى 20 دارس، والباقي من الناجحين يسجلون في الدورة التالية.

6.    أخر موعد لاستلام الطلبات يوم الأثنين الموافق 15/12/2025

7.    تم تحديد الاختبار بالنادي العربي أيام الأربعاء الموافق 17/12، والفرصة لأعادة الاختبار يوم الخميس الموافق 18/12/2025.

8.    تاريخ بدء الدورة يوم 21 ديسمبر حتى 5 يناير  2025

الاختبارات:

9.    لا تقل نسبة الحضور عن 80% لدخول الاختبار النهائي.

10.تقييمات يومية تجمع تقديراتها في نهاية الدورة.

11.يعقد الاختبار النهائي وفقا لقانون ولوائح الاتحاد الدولي للإنقاذ وجمعية الهلال الأحمر القطرية في نهاية الدورة ويتضمن

12.(نظري- شفهيي - عملي).

13.سوف توزع مذكرات الدورة باللغتين العربية والإنجليزية على ذاكرة متنقلة (USB) او على مجموعات التواصل (الواتس اب).

لغة الدورة:

اللغة العربية والانجليزية.

الشهادات:

يمنح الاتحاد الدولي للإنقاذ (شهادة – بطاقة)

المشاركون:

·      في الجزء النظري كلا الجنسين سويا.

·      وفي الجزء العملي كل جنس على حدى (حارات لسيدات وحارات للرجال).

·      تراعى تعليمات اختيار ملابس السباحة اللائقة.
